1. I feel that the statement is problematic because she is saynig that just because people are blind, then they are not normal. I feel that she needs to start thinking that she is normal in order to not be thinking that way against herself. She needs to see herself as a normal person, yeah there might be a flaw with her but everybody has flaws.
2. I feel that Sally Frenchs tone is kind of angry, and negative. She is talking about how nobody will stick up for blind people and how not a lot is accessible for them. This may definitely be true but I still feel that she could be positive about it and maybe talk more about ways to fix it instead of just how bad it is.
3. There were different reasons that minorities would be more likely to be placed in special education classes. One was that most students that are immigrants do not know the language well enough and they do not have time to talk to them individually this way they put them in these classes where will have more one on one time, however they may be learning less than they actually know. Also, these students may come from poorer families and are behind in school so are placed in these classes even though they do not necesarily have disability.
4.With IDEA and ADA, they saw better ways to get involved in students lives who do have disabilties. With IDEA, they make up a clear schedule and ways to track the student make sure they arent falling behind and making sure they get the help they need; whether it be extra test time, certain technology, and many others. With these ideas, we are starting to work harder on this situation but it still will take time.
