Finding your own voice

I would define "voice" as the way I say and do things. Everything that I am saying is coming straight from my mind and soul and I really feel and believe in what I'm saying. I feel that this is discovered just by sitting down and writing a paper, or sending a text message or an email. When you sit down and write something, anything, you are using your own voice. I feel that Lamott means we need to overcome our fears and  just write to help us learn. By going through the door, we are unlocking new mysteries, new events, and something that will help us grow in our writing experience. I really like that quote, I feel as if it is a good way to get people to think to try new things and get their life started.
